Journalism, Research and New Media

At the core of my research interests is journalism and its continuous transformation, as shaped by technological convergence and the integration of Artificial Intelligence. I also examine the interaction between media and audiences in the production and consumption of journalistic content, as well as journalistic practices related to the collection, verification, cross-checking, and authentication of information. Furthermore, my work focuses on the role of participatory media in bringing complex social phenomena, such as migration, to the fore, as well as in advancing sustainable development, with the ultimate aim of empowering local communities through participatory and inclusive information practices.
